"It was Chinese New Year and our waiter was working his first night. So he was slightly confused. But he did all right. The soup dumplings were to die for!"

"Overall, we had a great experience at Lao Szechuan. The space was very open and modern. The food presentation was intricate and clean. Staff was attentive, and the food came out relatively fast. The mala flavors were vibrant-- the peppercorns had so much flavor and notes! The menu was quite extensive and had an overwhelming number of selections. So far, we really enjoyed the whole fish and chili chicken."

"The place is modern and spacious, with a clean, stylish feel. The food was flavorful and came in decent portions for the price, which was nice. If you’re not great with spicy food, even the 2-pepper level packs a punch. We definitely went through a lot of water! Service was friendly but a bit laid-back, so be ready to wait a little."

"When I was in college, I worked at a Chinese restaurant called the China Station. I ate the best Chinese food. Our boss, Sue would make us authentic Chinese food after work. One of my favorite dishes was Mongolian beef. Since then I have been on the hunt for good Mongolian beef like the one Sue made us. Finally I found something similar to the Mongolian beef at Lao Sze Chuan! If you want delicious Mongolian beef get their Mongolian Tenderloins. It is so good! The meat is tender. The veggies are not overcooked. It's perfectly seasoned! I highly recommend the Hot and Sour soup as well! I love the atmosphere. It's such a beautiful and relaxing environment to enjoy their delicious food. The decor is classy and modern. This is a great place for any occasion whether you are celebrating your birthday, anniversary, or graduation. As for the service, the staff is welcoming and professional. Jessica, my waitress was amazing. She answered all of my questions and gave great recommendations. She was attentive and friendly but gave me space and time to order and enjoy my food! Make sure you get her as your waitress. So if you want delicious food, great service, and a modern and sophisticated environment, go check them out!"

"Lao Szechuan is truly the pinnacle of culinary excellence when it comes to roast duck! The flavors are simply divine, making it feel worthy of a Michelin-starred dining experience. Additionally, the ambiance is enhanced by the vibrant atmosphere of karaoke in the luxurious VIP rooms, where laughter and music create unforgettable memories. Every visit is a delightful feast for the senses!"

"This has officially become a new favorite in my never ending hunt for great food. If you’re the type who orders “mild” everywhere, it’s time to step out of your comfort zone and try Lao Szechuan. This is real Chinese food, not the Americanized, fortune cookie on the side nonsense. The flavors are unreal. Yes, it’s spicy, but it’s the good kind of spicy, more flavor, less “why am I sweating?” Jason, our server, was fantastic. That man deserves a raise immediately. Attentive, quick, and funny enough to make the experience even better without overdoing it. Elite service. Check the video to see what we ordered, because everything slapped. I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Chinese food that doesn’t pull its punches. The atmosphere was boujee, clean, and no exaggeration, robots brought our food to the table. Fancy and futuristic. 10/10, would let robots serve me again, but we prefer Jason. Also please note we went during a non peak hour which is why the restaurant was fairly empty, from what I’ve seen and heard there are pretty packed for lunch/dinner service, we just went a bit earlier before the dinner rush."

"I’m happy to finally found a good Chinese restaurant in Atlanta. Clean, spacious, nice interior and delicious food. The Peking Duck is the best I’ve had, better than HK and Beijing. The hot and sour soup also excellent with good flavour. Our waitress suggested we add some rice to go with our dishes. No joke, the rice was good quality, not like most other Chinese restaurant. Overall, highly satisfied! Definitely will be back."

"Great food. Reasonably priced given the variety. There’s something for everyone. Menu can be a bit overwhelming given all the choices (think Cheesecake Factory but Chinese). But it’s fun overall."
